Recently, we had the opportunity to run the Niagara Falls Half Marathon. The longer distances attract me because of the work they involve. The training plan is divided into distinct stages, each section crafted to support the end goal. I do not love every morning run, or every grueling hot training session, but I love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with crossing a finish line in a race well-run.
We can carry so many lessons from running into our everyday lives and business:
- Set your goal
- Find the plan that fits for you
- Seek expert support when needed
- Execute the plan
- Adjust as conditions demand
Running is a metaphor for life. You get out of it what you put into it. What idea are you working towards?
